Job Description:The newly formed Department of Linguistics and Technical Communication atthe University of North Texas is accepting applications for a visitingassistant professor for a non-tenure-track position in Linguistics duringthe 2008-09 academic year (beginning August 25, 2008). Teaching load andassignment will depend on qualifications and circumstances; for awell-qualified candidate who is active in the field we project a 3/3 loadincluding upper-level undergraduate and introductory graduate courses(Phonology in fall 2008). During the spring 2009 semester there will be anopportunity to teach a graduate course in the area of expertise.

Qualifications:Required qualifications include a PhD in Linguistics; previous teachingand/or research in Phonology is strongly desired.
