Description:

The University of Zurich invites applications for an AssistantProfessorship in Phonetics and Phonology to be filled at the earliest datepossible.

Applicants should have demonstrated competence in both teaching andresearch. The professorship is located in the phonetic laboratory/phonogramarchive. It is desirable that applicants have experience in empiricalresearch in the area of linguistic phonetics, also on the officiallanguages of Switzerland. Interdisciplinary cooperation with the otherlinguistic departments is expected, both in research and teaching.

The post is limited to a maximum of six years (three years plus extension).A Habilitationsschrift or substantial publications beyond the doctoralthesis are prerequisites. The University of Zurich wishes to increase thenumber of women in teaching and research. Therefore, applications fromwomen are particularly welcome.
