"Brill’s Studies in Language, Cognition and Culture" (BSLC) is aninnovative, peer-reviewed international forum that focuses on theinteraction between the conceptualization of linguistic categories withcultural variables, and with human cognition.
Aims and Scope:This new peer-reviewed book series offers an international forum forhigh-quality original studies in languages and cultures. It focuses on theinteraction between linguistic categories (and their conceptualization),cultural values, and human cognition. Publications in this series willinclude interdisciplinary studies on language, its meanings and forms, andpossible interactions with cognitive and communicational patterns. Theseries spans cultural and social anthropology, cognitive science andlinguistics. The emphasis is on inductive based cross-linguistic andcrosscultural studies, with special attention to poorly known areas, suchas Lowland Amazonia and the Pacific. The series is international in scopeand it is envisaged that three to four new volumes will be published each year.
Readership:The targeted audience includes linguists of all persuasions, social andcultural anthropologists, social and cognitive scientists, and psychologists.
