Description:

The Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness Unit of the World Banks'Human Resources Department is seeking part-time Language Instructors inArabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. The program'swork focuses on providing language training and other learning support forBank staff in the area of intercultural communication. These positionsdemand expertise and experience in the fields of second languageacquisition, the integration of culture in language classes, and teachingadult learners.

The World Bank is searching for these part-time Language Instructors forits headquarters in Washington, DC.

Qualifications:- Native speakers of the target language and excellent command of Englishin oral and written communication.- Master's degree or higher in language teaching, second languageacquisition, applied linguistics or a related field. At least 3 years ofrecent experience in language teaching and curriculum design in the targetlanguage. Alternatively, the candidates may have a B.A. in theaforementioned fields and at least 5 years of experience.

Short-listed candidates may be required to submit a sample of instructionaldesign, and a classroom demonstration.
