While working on a book on the (history of the) interface of morpho-syntaxwith phonology (published earlier this year), Tobias Scheer was trying toget hold of a copy of the manuscript that is quoted in the literature asthe origin/ ancestor of Halle & Vergnaud (Halle, M. and J.-R. Vergnaud(1987). An Essay on Stress. Cambridge, Mass., MIT Press.). The manuscriptis called

Halle, Morris (1986). On the Phonology-Morphology Interface. Ms, MIT.

A call on Linguist List did not produce any result, and Morris Halle saidhe could not find the item in his files. But recently a copy has beenfound! Edmund Gussmann, who passed away earlier this year, had it in hisfiles, and these are now registered at Lublin University, where GienekCyran found it.

The manuscript is now available online (http://www.unice.fr/scheer/, follow''little interface library''), where it is publicly available.
