Oregon Public Broadcasting recently aired a radio interview with Alfred'Bud' Lane III about efforts to preserve the Athabaskan language of theConfederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians (Siletz Tribal Language Project,
www.siletzlanguage.org). The interview focused on the Siletz TalkingDictionary, an online collection of recorded words and phrases(
http://siletz.swarthmore.edu/), and on the role of technology in preservingendangered languages.
