Description:
The ASPIRANTUM School of Languages and Cultures cordially invites international participants to join the Russian Language Winter School from November 5 to December 29, 2023, in Yerevan, Armenia.

The Russian language winter classes will cover the following components every day to foster the Russian language knowledge of participants at a rapid pace:

Grammar: Every day class will cover the main grammatical concepts of the modern Russian language.

Vocabulary: During the 8 weeks course it is anticipated that the participants will learn around 2000 new Russian words from literary language as well as words used in everyday life.

Listening: The classes are scheduled in a way that participants with the guidance of an experienced instructor learn the Russian language through songs and movies as well as watching and listening to news and other short videos about interesting and sometimes funny topics and stories about Russian realities.

Speaking: Every day the Russian language classes will push the students to exercise their speaking abilities through discussions, conversations, and interpretations about different texts and topics. As nearly everyone speaks Russian fluently in Yerevan the speaking skills of participants may be advanced during everyday conversations in the streets, shops, and other places of Yerevan.

Writing: Each day the participants of the Russian language class will have assignments and homework to complete for the next day. The homework will primarily involve writing assignments and those will be assessed by the teacher and discussed the next day’s Russian language class.

Reading: Every day students will read and discuss political texts, prose and poetry, conversations, and news. The corpus of texts to be read and discussed during the classes comprises different prominent Russian authors, daily conversations, and news of the day.
