Abstracts for individual (20-minute) presentations are invited in the following areas:
interlanguage pragmatics, pragmatic development, cross-cultural pragmatics, pragmatics and
discourse, pragmatics and computer-mediated communication, pragmatic development in study abroad
contexts, research design in the investigation of pragmatics, the effects of instruction on
pragmatics, pragmatics and testing, classroom research, and other topics related to the learning of
pragmatics in cross-cultural, second-language contexts.
