My name is Yolanda and I am a PhD candidate in Psycholinguistics at NOVA University Lisbon. I am currently seeking L1 European Portuguese speakers for an online study of vowels and foreign pronunciation, regardless of the area of residence.

The main eligibility criteria are:

- age 18-45
- native speakers of European Portuguese (monolingual)
- no auditory problems

The study is done fully online (computer only) and consists of four tasks that should be done on separate days:

Task 1: nasality judgments (30 min).
Tasks 2 and 3: vowel quality judgments (30/25 min).
Task 4: ratings of accentedness, comprehensibility, and intelligibility of words (20 min).

The study will be open until 22/09/2024.

When I get the needed number of participants, I will be doing a prize ruffle (random.org), and a lucky winner will receive a 35€ gift card (25€ FNAC + 10€ cartão Dá) (which can be sent by post). You can only enter the ruffle if you complete all four tasks. In case you wish, I can also issue a statement of participation.
