The 39th South Asian Languages Analysis Round Table (SALA-39) will take place on September 29 till October 1, 2025 at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland.
The conference is a venue for all linguists working on various topics in linguistics that are related to all languages of South Asia. These include: typology and diachrony of South Asian languages, sociolinguistics in South Asia, individual language descriptions, language endangerment and language policy among others.
Call for Papers:
We are pleased to announce that the 39th South Asian Languages Analysis Roundtable (SALA-39) will take place on September 29 to October 1, 2025 at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. We invite submissions in any area related to the field of South Asian languages and linguistics, addressing, but not limited to, the following topics:
● Descriptive studies
● Comparative and typological studies
● Language contact
● Sociolinguistics
● Morphology and Syntax
● Semantics and Pragmatics
● Phonetics and Phonology
● Historical linguistics and philology
● Computational linguistics
● Corpus and quantitative linguistic studies
● Language acquisition
● Language policies
● Endangerment of minority languages
Presentations will last 20 minutes (5 min. for discussion, and 5 min. for speaker and room changes)
Abstracts should clearly state the research questions, approach, method, data and (expected) results. They should be fully anonymous. They should not exceed 500 words (including examples, excluding references). Abstracts should have the same title as the entry submitted via The Conference Management Toolkit (CMT).
Presentations will last 20 minutes, allowing 5 min. for discussion and 5 min. for speaker and room changes.
