This volume explores the connection between language and trauma, highlighting ways that applied linguists can integrate trauma-informed approaches across the scope of their work. Proposals should focus on trauma-informed perspectives in the areas of language policy and planning, foreign language learning and teaching, interpreting, discourse and narratives, and/or mental health and health care. We encourage submissions that explore these issues in different parts of the world and welcome multidisciplinary contributions from researchers and practitioners alike.

Please submit a 200 word proposal to the editors Maybritt Woodcock ([email protected]) and Emily Feuerherm ([email protected]) by March 17th 2024. More details can be found at this link:
