Offerings:
1. Elite Talent Program
For candidates with doctoral degrees from esteemed global universities or significant publications, we offer Preferential Admission as Higher Level Talent at Yangzhou University. The pre-tax annual salary ranges from 300,000 to 450,000 RMB (around 41,000 to 62,000 USD, or a monthly salary that depends on the qualifications of candidates), with housing subsidies, settling allowances, and research start-up funds totaling between 310,000 to 1,400,000 RMB (around 42,500 to 193,000 USD). Successful candidates may apply for national and/or provincial talent research funds, ranging from 500,000 to 1,000,000 RMB (around 69,000 to 138,000 USD) facilitated by YZU.
2. Language Teachers
Candidates must be from English-speaking countries and hold a bachelor’s degree or above in Education, Linguistics, Literary Studies, or related fields. Candidates receive a 12-month visa and a monthly salary of 8,000/9,000/10,000 RMB (around 1,100/1,250/1,380 USD; for a 9-month teaching span). Responsibilities include delivering English language courses, including Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing to first and second-year college students in class sizes of approximately 30.
Additional benefits include:
Exclusive Accommodation: A fully furnished apartment awaits, comprising a spacious living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. Modern amenities like air conditioning, a washing machine, microwave oven, and refrigerator are provided.
Utility Coverage: The university covers utility expenses, encompassing water and electricity.
Comprehensive Health Package: Access to a medical treatment program equivalent to that of YZU staff, inclusive of insurance coverage and an initial medical examination upon arrival in China.
Residence Permit Processing: All expenses associated with processing the Residence Permit are covered by YZU.
International Travel Allowance: Upon completing a one-year contract, an allowance of 10,000 RMB (around 1380 USD) is granted for international travel, regardless of whether travel is undertaken.
Contract Renewal Benefits: Contract renewals for subsequent years come with additional compensation, including 2 months' salary for summer and winter holidays of the first and following years.
3. Internship Opportunities
Graduate students pursuing a master's degree in education can access on-campus internships with accommodation, medical insurance, meal allowances, and teaching practice opportunities.
4. Postdoctoral Researchers
Candidates obtained a doctoral degree within the last 3 years and under the age of 35 are welcome to join our postdoctoral research station. Postdoctoral personnel will be paid an annual salary of pre-tax 170,000 to 300,000 RMB (around 23,400 to 41,400 USD).
