The 12th International Conference on Language and Literacy Education (12-14 September 2025) will explore the role of translanguaging, literacies, and technological innovations in multilingual education. Hosted by Wits University and HuMEL, the conference invites global scholars, educators, and policymakers to present research and practical solutions on topics like multilingual literacies, bilingual education, and decolonial perspectives, with a focus on transforming education in the 21st century.
2nd Call for Papers:
Are you passionate about multilingual education and the role of translanguaging, literacies, and technology in shaping its future? We invite researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to contribute to the 12th International Conference on Language and Literacy Education, hosted by Wits University and HuMEL, from 12-14 September 2025 in Johannesburg.
This year’s conference will explore the intersection of translanguaging, reading and writing literacies, and technological advancements, driving new innovations in multilingual classrooms. Join us in addressing how these elements are transforming education globally, especially in the Global South.
