57th Annual Conference on African Linguistics
Short Title: ACAL57
Date: 21-May-2026 - 23-May-2026
Location: Buffalo, New York, USA
Linguistic Field(s): General Linguistics
The 57th Annual Conference on African Linguistics will be held at the University at Buffalo from Thursday, May 21, 2026 to Saturday, May 23, 2026. It is being co-organized by the University at Buffalo, the University of Rochester, and Syracuse University.
There will be two abstract deadlines for paper or poster presentations, one in September and one in January (with the precise dates to be determined). The September deadline will be made available, in particular, for presenters who will require a visa to travel to the United States and who may need extra time to obtain one.
The conference will be held in person, but presenters who are unable to attend in person will be able to deliver their presentations remotely.
More details about the conference will follow as they become available.
