Description:

Research Assistant (PhD Position) – Research on English Language Learning and Teaching of English
University of Kassel, Germany
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Part-time (50%), 3 years, renewable for 2 years
Salary: EG 13 TV-H

The Department of Humanities and Cultural Studies, Institute of English/American Studies, Chair "Research on Foreign Language Teaching and Learning: English Didactics" (Prof. Dr Angelovska) at the University of Kassel is seeking a research assistant to join a dynamic team working at the intersection of inclusive education, English language teaching, and empirical research.

Key responsibilities include:
- Independent research (PhD project) related to inclusion, learning deficits, or cognitive approaches in ELT
- Development and delivery of inclusive teaching formats (esp. for special needs teacher training)
- Participation in research, teaching (2 SWS), and academic events
- Support in organizing conferences and academic administration

Requirements:
- MA/M.Ed./M.Sc. in TEFL, TESOL, SLA, Applied Linguistics, Educational Psychology, or related fields
- Experience with empirical research methods and data collection/analysis in applied linguistics or education
- Strong interest in inclusive education and heterogeneous learning contexts
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in school-related practice or research is a plus
