To whom it may concern

We are posting this today to issue a warning and go on the record regarding our alleged membership in the 'editorial team' of the journal "Forum for Linguistic Studies" published by the Bilingual Publishing Group (see <https://journals.bilpubgroup.com/index.php/fls/about/editorialTeam>).

The following scholars are listed as members of the editorial team of this journal but have either never been invited to the board and consented to their inclusion in it, others have tried to be removed from the 'editorial team' but have had repeated attempts be ignored by the publisher, and one is actually deceased:

We believe this journal to be a minimally shady if not outright predatory journal, given that it uses false advertising with the names of scholars who have never consented or who have withdrawn their consent to be included and refuses to right its wrongs when those are pointed out. We want to make clear that we are not associated with this journal and that our names on their website must not be understood as any endorsement of this outlet, and we would like to warn others to be wary of this journal.
