Conference Event: December 5- 6, 2025

TESOL Society of Bangladesh, in collaboration with Daffodil International University, is organising a three-day international conference on the significance of bridging human-centred language education in the fast-paced era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and broad global transformation. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers unprecedented opportunities for personalised learning but also risks exacerbating existing divides in access and opportunity. A human-centred approach to language education—one that prioritises thoughtful engagement, empathy, and critical reflection—is essential, more than ever before, to bridge these gaps and foster meaningful communication across linguistic and socioeconomic boundaries. By centring human dignity and meaningful participation, we can harness the power of AI while ensuring that language education remains a powerful tool for social cohesion, cultural preservation, and global understanding. This paradigm shift calls for collaborative efforts among educators, technologists, and policymakers to create learning environments that are both technologically advanced and fundamentally humane.

The sub-themes of the conference might include, but are not limited to, the following:
Technology and Human-Focused Learning
Integrating Overlooked Perspectives in Language Education
Use of Language in a Digital Era
Advocacy for Multilingual Societies
Ethical Tech and Mental Health
Education for Social Change and Wellness
Evolving Teachers’ Roles in the Age of AI
Teachers’ challenges in adopting AI in teaching
