CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
Language et Languages at the Crossroads of Disciplines (LLcD: https://llcd.cnrs.fr/en/) is a new research network supported by the French CNRS. The LLcD Meeting, held annually, is centered around an international conference in France, supplemented by a panel discussion and a summer school. The aim of the conference is to advance the scientific understanding of human language and linguistic systems, while fostering new collaborations and cross-disciplinary exchange among various research areas and approaches.
Following the first edition of the conference (Sorbonne, Paris, September 9–11, 2024), the second edition will take place at the University of Lille, France, on September 1–3, 2025 (https://llcd2025.sciencesconf.org/?lang=en). The conference welcomes proposals from all areas of linguistics.
CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
We invite workshop proposals on all subfields of linguistics, languages, and approaches (descriptive, theoretical, empirical, interdisciplinary, etc.) to promote diversity across disciplines and methodologies. Each workshop will be organized into 30-minute slots for talks (20-minute presentations, 5 minutes for discussion, 5 minutes for room changes) and must consist of at least seven presentations. The conference languages are English and French.
Please note that this call is exclusively for workshop proposals. Separate calls will be issued for the general session and the summer school.
WORKSHOP PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS
Workshop proposals should be submitted as a PDF document and include the following information:
- Workshop title and five keywords.
- Convenors’ names, affiliations, and email addresses.

Optionally, the description may include:
- A provisional collection of short abstracts (~300 words each) from potential speakers.
- The names of tentative keynote speakers (note that LLcD cannot cover their expenses).
