Job Description
The Département de langues, linguistique et traduction is looking to fill a professor position in Linguistics, with a specialization in syntax. A second area of specialization in neurolinguistics or psycholinguistics is also required.

Specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Teaching syntax and neurolinguistics or psycholinguistics at all three academic levels (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral).
- Supervising graduate students and directing essays, theses, and dissertations.
- Conducting research and participating in academic activities in the fields of linguistics, with a particular focus on syntax and the second specialization area (neurolinguistics or psycholinguistics).
- Contributing to the operation of the linguistics programs.
- Participating in departmental, faculty, and university activities.

Selection Criteria:
- PhD in linguistics or nearing completion (only applications from candidates with a known thesis defense date at the time of application will be considered).
- A research program in syntax-semantics with a second specialization in neurolinguistics or psycholinguistics.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- University-level teaching experience in the primary and secondary specialization fields.
- Proficiency in spoken and written French.

Interested individuals are asked to submit an application package consisting of:
- A cover letter.
- A curriculum vitae.
- A two- to three-page statement of research and teaching interests.
- Two or three publications representative of research achievements.
- Three letters of recommendation sent directly by the referees.
- For candidates who have not yet completed their doctorate, a letter from their department head attesting to the progress of their thesis and the defense date.
