Description:

The Scandinavian Summer Language Institute (NORD) offers high-quality, proficiency-based courses in a variety of Scandinavian languages for undergraduates, graduate students, and adult learners. The 8-week program are the equivalent of one year of study. Students learn speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills though classroom instruction and a full range of co-curricular activities. Past languages that have been offered include Norwegian and Swedish.

For Summer 2025, NORD will be offering Elementary Danish online language instruction ONLY.

Tuition: $5,000
Tuition Explanation: The maximum cost of tuition for NORD is $5,000, which is based on standard UW-Madison summer tuition rates.

This cost may be less for current UW-Madison students and WI and MN residents. NORD is committed to making our instruction as affordable as possible while keeping the highest quality of instruction.
