Description:

The Department of English Language and Literature at Yonsei University (Shinchon campus in Seoul, South Korea) invites applications for a tenure-track position. The appointment is in the area of sociolinguistics, AI linguistics, or computational linguistics with a start date of March 1, 2024. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. by the time of appointment with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Candidates with bilingual English/Korean ability are preferred.

The successful candidate will be expected to propose and maintain a research agenda (in keeping with Yonsei's promotions requirements). The teaching load is 12 hours (usually 4 courses) per academic year, and may include supervision of theses/dissertations and advising.
