The 5th edition of the Jornades de lingüística catalana a Viena will take place on October 19 – 20, 2023 at the University of Vienna and will have as its main topic “Linguistic variation in Catalan”.

People interested in participating with a talk can send an anonymous abstract (max. 500 words plus references; in Catalan or English) to the following e-mail address: [email protected]

Submission deadline: July 31st, 2023
Notification of acceptance: by August 31st, 2023

We are interested in theoretical as well as empirical approaches to linguistic variation in Catalan, including experimental or corpus linguistic methodologies. The abstracts can address aspects of variation in synchrony as well diachrony.
