We seek applicants with a specialization in computational linguistics. Applicants with a primary or secondary specialization in syntax, semantics, and/or morphology are especially encouraged to apply, although we will consider applicants in other subfields. We also welcome applicants with expertise in low-resourced languages to apply. A conferred Ph.D. in linguistics or related field by the beginning of the appointment is required.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and evidence of scholarly promise. The normal teaching load is 5 courses/year. Two of the five courses will be cross-listed with the Department of Math, Statistics, and Computer Science.
