Call for Applications: The Ullendorff Prize for an Early Career Scholar in Semitic Linguistics
We are pleased to announce the establishment of "The Ullendorff Prize for an early career Scholar in Semitic Linguistics." This prize aims to encourage, recognize and honor outstanding contributions in the field of Semitic Linguistics.
We invite early career scholars to submit their outstanding research in the form of an article, book or dissertation. The prize will be awarded for research work that demonstrates a significant contribution to the field of Semitic linguistics. It can also include work that presents a significant advancement in general linguistics through the study of a Semitic language. The selection will favor works that exhibit excellence in comparative Semitic studies.

The award will be presented to the laureate during the Ullendorff Conference for Semitic Linguistics, an event dedicated to the memory of the distinguished linguist and Semitist, Edward Ullendorff. The conference is scheduled to occur from January 10-12, 2024, and will take place at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Edward Ullendorff's alma mater. At the occasion, the laureate will deliver a talk presenting the prize winning work.
