Meeting Description:

Generally considered the foremost meeting for second language researchers in Europe, the 2025 conference of the European Second Language Association (EuroSLA) will bring together for the thirty-fourth year researchers working on second language acquisition, processing, and use from across the world. The conference will be hosted at UiT the Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø 25-28 June 2025.

Key dates:
06 December 2024: Abstract submission deadline.
20 February 2025: Notification of acceptance.
03 March 2025: Early bird registration starts.
11 April 2025: End of early bird registration.
12 April 2025: Full fee registration starts.
23 May 2025: End of registration.

One of the foremost meetings for second language researchers in Europe, the 2025 conference of the European Second Language Association (EuroSLA) will bring together for the thirty-fourth year, researchers working on all aspects of second language acquisition, processing, and use from across the world. The conference will be hosted at UiT the Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø 25-28 June 2025.

• Bernadette O’Rourke (University of Glasgow)

Presentations
We welcome submissions in all areas and approaches to the study of second, foreign or additional languages, bilingualism and multilingualism in the following formats.
- Individual papers (20 min + 5 min Q&A)
- Posters (A0, portrait or landscape)
- Papers at the doctoral workshop (15 min + 10 min discussion)

Abstract Submission Information.
The submission of presentation proposals closes on 06 December 2024. We particularly encourage the submission of poster proposals given that the number of paper slots are limited. Notification of acceptance will be communicated by 20 February 2025. Please note that you will have to create a SoftConf account to be able to submit your abstract.

Language Policy
The working language of the conference is English, but presentations are also welcome in other European languages.
