Meeting Description:
The Students' Conference of Linguistics in India (SCONLI), an idea that emerged in the Department of Linguistics, University of Delhi in 2002, is an annual international conference organised by the research scholars of Linguistics in India. Its inaugural meeting was held in then CIEFL, now EFLU, Hyderabad, in 2006 and has since been hosted by the University of Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University, among others. SCONLI stands out because it is entirely managed by students and research scholars, providing them with invaluable experience in various academic activities. This hands-on involvement includes writing and reviewing papers, chairing conference sessions, and inviting esteemed experts for talks. This unique format has made SCONLI an excellent platform for young linguists to develop their academic skills. More information about the progress of this conference can be found at https://sconli.org.
