The Research Institute for the Study of Language in Urban Society (RISLUS) conducts research on language, literacy, bilingualism and their development within the context of urban societies.

Call for Papers:
We invite you to submit proposals for presentations and posters for our upcoming RISLUS Research Forum. We are particularly interested in proposals that address the following subthemes. Submissions are due by April 28th at 11:59PM in any timezone:
Multilingualism and inequality
Minoritized languages in urban contexts
Language and literacy education for newcomer multilingual students
Proposals must include:
Title
Abstract (Up to 500 words)
Information for all presenters, including name, affiliation, and contact information
Preference for talk or poster
Proposals must be submitted online as .pdf file types.

Presentation Formats:
Talk length: Talks will be 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for discussion.
Posters: There will be a 90 minute poster session during the lunch break providing for free-flow presentation and discussion.
We invite posters that describe completed studies as well as Project Launches. The Project Launches are an opportunity for graduate students and post-docs at the early stages of a new project to present and discuss their plans, and get constructive feedback and advice. We are committed to ensuring a constructive and friendly discussion.
